At the beginning of the school year I take pictures of the PV staff with their favorite books. These images are sent to the AEA where they're made into READ posters. This has been really popular and most of the staff post their pictures in their classrooms. I had my husband take my photo last year when we were in Australia.

You could have students make book presentations with Animoto- by selecting appropriate copyright-free images that relate to the book.
